FRESH: TIME is a pantomime performance about the sense of time during the war. The performance includes physical theater surrounding interviews with Ukrainians. The performance is in Ukrainian with English subtitles.
This evening is part of FRESH: a creative platform for young makers with big ideas. On Friday, January 12th, Kyiv Mime Theatre will take the stage and become curator of their own FRESH-night.
Kyiv Mime Theatre (K.M.T.) consists of three artists: Kateryna Spodoneiko, Pavlo Vyshnevskyi and Oleksandr Symonenko. They perform and teach pantomime from deep within ourselves and our worldview. Pantomime is an artform that has a long tradition in Ukraine. All performers graduated with a master's degree from the Kyiv Circus Academy and have been practicing pantomime for ten years. The company has participated in many festivals in Ukraine and abroad.
Immerse yourself in a different sense of time. Time seems to be frozen in the air and the future is out of reach. Based on interviews with Ukrainians, K.M.T. will try to convey what is happening through movement and pantomime.
