Happily Ever After
The most beautiful dying swan, a slow motion death scene, a prince that keeps getting kissed back to life. Jasper van Luijk shows what happens after the happily-ever-after-life. Happily Ever After is a dance performance about death as part of life. Specially designed for children, Jasper makes a happily-ever-after song of praise to the endless end.
Graceful, cheerful and virtuoso physical. In short sketches, an endless number of deaths and departures pass by, brought together in an expressive storyline in which performance and dance revolve around each other. It has a wonderfully inventive setting, in which the space for the actors and the audience is constantly in motion.
Jasper van Luijk has mostly created dance performances for adults, but for Maas, he wants to relate to a young and inexperienced audience. In order to do so, he intensively involves a small group of children in his creative process. This will be his first performance for children that lasts the whole evening.
