Our House
In the autumn of 2024, the talented Amsterdam-based dancer and choreographer Wennah Wilkers will present her latest show, Our House. This production is a collaboration with the Rotterdam-based company Lloydscompany. Our House is an impressive tribute to Housedance, performed by an international cast of exceptional dancers. This dynamic dance style, known for its energetic footwork, cyphers, and sense of community, is the focal point of the performance.
An industrial, underground, and communal ambience is created, inviting the audience to engage with the sense of unity and the meditative state of Our House. The music, specially created for Our House by British producer Matt Benyayer (UK), enhances the industrial, underground vibe that the performance embodies.

About the maker
Wennah Wilkers (born in 1992 in Tarlac City, Philippines) is a Dutch-Filipino dancer and choreographer who grew up in Amsterdam. She is known for her unique style, seamlessly blending contemporary and urban dance. Wilkers' previous productions have been acclaimed and showcased on stages such as Maaspodium, Over 't IJ Festival, Breakin' Convention Netherlands Tour, and One Night’s Dance.
Our House is realized under the Nieuwe Makersregeling of the Fonds Podiumkunsten. The performance will premiere on September 28, 2024, at Maaspodium in Rotterdam and will then be available for bookings at theaters and festivals.
