IN SHORT
Robin Nimanong (they/them) develops their work in the field of queer art, connected to social developments, with the aim of making unheard, marginalized voices audible. Project Fools challnges the binary female male culture and is researching this together with Ballroom artists. The performance combines interdisciplinary (vogue) dance, graphic art, fashion, and music into an intriguing exploration of identity and queerness.
You are welcome to enter this digital world where new routes reveal themselves. Here, society’s rebels and outcasts break free from within. Who are they, and what is their true nature in this tech-driven realm?
There is only one rule in this game: “Keep strutting, and when stopped… hit that reset button to start all over.”
Just remember that a true revolution has no script.
Project Fools is a bold research by Robin Nimanong, aka Lily, in collaboration with Ballroom artists Gato, Deion, and Sugah. This work delves into themes of gender fluidity and queer liberation, confronting a world of absurdism as norm.
This societal introspection is taken into the world of Project Fools with a lighthearted touch, and extreme care. Watch as these alter egos navigate through this cyber-grid, embodying a dynamic, interdisciplinary exploration of queerness. In collaboration with Guenter Raler for the visuals and music. And with Eva Marie-Louise for fashion. Together we will unravel beyond the binary in unexpected forms.
