Steel documentary
We proudly present a documentary of the performance Steel (a performance directed by Moniek Merkx in 2011, that Maas resumed in spring 2013).
A group of boys find themselves in limbo, stuck somewhere in no man’s land. Silent boys trying to be big and strong, ignoring their father’s rules and mother’s embrace. Passing the time by kicking a ball around, getting into fights, impatiently seated in life’s waiting room. Desperate to grow up and be allowed passage into the real world as a real man, strong, successful, funny, attractive, rebellious or just forever young. Steel is about what it’s like being a boy…for real!
