What would your hair say if it could speak? Would it feel free to express itself, or would it feel restricted?
Join If Our Hair Could Talk, a transformative workshop designed to create awareness around the beliefs we hold about our hair and how they shape our identity and confidence. Wherever we go, our hair comes with us. It has a voice, and in it’s stories, we have a lot in common. Omara, the owner of natural hair salon BE BRAIDED, will lead an engaging session.
Together we’ll create a room for sharing, celebration and transformation. We’ll delve into:
- The cultural significance of afro-hair
- How our ancestors celebrated their identity through their hair
- Uncovering your own hair story and reshaping it’s beliefs
