Book Eerste Hulp Bij Theater (first aid for theater)

€ 15,00

First Aid for Theater is the book for anyone who wants to make theater with children and young people. It helps you develop a way of thinking, looking and working in four simple steps: Thinking – making – collecting – assembling. And without getting lost in mountains of associations and (children's) ideas. The booklet was written by Jowi Schmitz on behalf of theater group Max., one of the three predecessors of Maas. With references to the work of Dorien Folkers (founder of education at Maas) and Moniek Merkx (artistic director Maas 2013-2021).

The back reads:
“Making theater at school is often about buying a script and dividing the roles. The talented students get the biggest roles, the others play a tree. This book takes a different approach. In four simple steps it shows how everyone can play. And also how anyone can be a director, with or without theater making experience. This book is about a different way of thinking about theater and therefore also about a different way of making theater. You can browse through it for inspiration, you can also use it as a guide to create a piece. This is it Max. A theater book for everyone.”
